Ananya Panday and Vir Das, who co-starred in the recent romantic-comedy series Call Me Bae, engaged in a hilarious rap battle, roasting each other’s characters. Prime Video shared a video of the epic showdown on their official Instagram handle with the caption, “The Epic Rap Battle: Bae vs SS.”
In the video, Ananya can be seen mocking Vir Das’s character Satyajit Sen’s low journalistic standards. Meanwhile, Vir Das cracked jokes about Ananya Panday’s character Bella Chowdhary, aka Bae’s influencer lifestyle. Towards the end, the narrator asked viewers to decide who they thought had won the rap battle.

A section of India Today Digital’s review of Call Me Bae reads, “Bella or Bae (Ananya Panday) is the girl in the story. After a scandal in Delhi, she moves to Mumbai (is the title Bae in Bomba… nevermind) and after being patronised by her brother, rejects the easy path and sets out to carve a niche for her own. Yes, the rich and privileged also need to do that to make their name (a dharmastic, sorry, fantastic point being put we must say).”
Besides Ananya Panday and Vir Das, Call Me Bae also stars Varun Sood, Muskkaan Jaferi, Gurfateh Pirzada, Vihaan Samat, Lisa Misra and Mini Mathur, among others. It is currently streaming on Prime Video.
